New Ball State University President Geoffrey Mearns will begin his new duties at the Muncie campus on Monday, May 15th.
Mearns was recently selected as Ball State’s new President, a year after Paul Ferguson was forced to resign. Mearns comes to Ball State from Northern Kentucky University, just across the river from Cincinnati.
Current university leaders say they’re excited to welcome Mearns to Muncie and say he’ll help to build on Ball State’s recent enrollment growth and guiding the school through a new strategic plan. Mearns will also lead the university to its’ centennial celebration in 2018.
