The armed robbery occurred last night at Daleville, and police chased the suspects along I-69. Speeds of over 110 miles per hour were reached during the chase. Stop sticks were used on the vehicle near the Fairmount exit and the car was abandoned by the suspects and they were last seen running into a wooded area near State Road 26 and Wheeling Pike.
Because of the incident, Eastbrook Schools and the King’s Academy are closed today and Taylor University in Upland has cancelled classes and closed offices until at least noon because of the manhunt. People in the Upland and Matthews areas are being advised to stay inside with their doors locked.
Police say the two suspects are two black males that are considered armed and dangerous and that their vehicle was wanted out of Michigan as well.
