There are no more tags on the Angel Trees in Grant County, because all the names of needy children in Grant County have been taken.
A last minute plea by Salvation Army officials last week resulted in the final 150 names being collected by members of the public, who will provide clothing and presents for more than 800 local needy kids.
Salvation Army Lieutenant Blake Fewell says the whole outcome is extremely gratifying.
The clothing and gifts for the kids will be distributed next week at the Salvation Army in Marion. Fewell said he’s overwhelmed again by the generosity of Grant County residents over the Angel Tree program.
