A Miami County property that was once the winter headquarters of the Terrell Jacobs Circus is up for sale, including buildings that once housed and was used for training for circus animals.
The property and all its’ contents are for sale for 150-thousand dollars. The site includes 8 to 10 acres of land and is near the intersection of U-S 31 and State Road 218 West near the Grissom Air Reserve Base.
The Terrell Jacobs Circus used the land for its’ winter headquarters in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, but has been vacant for more than 30-years. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
