Two men suspected of killing a Summitville man over drugs and money in May in Miami County have been returned to Indiana to face the charges.
21-year old Ethan Cain of Marion and 23-year old Joshua Kean of LaFontaine were returned to Indiana from California, where they were arrested in late May for the murder of 22-year old Drake Smith of Summitville. Smith’s body was found by mushroom hunters along a trail east of Peru.
State police and Miami County authorities say Smith was robbed and beaten to death May 19th in a scheme to get his money and a large amount of illegal drugs. 17-year old Brittany Morris of Jonesboro is also charged with helping to lure Smith to the scene of the crime.
Cain, Kean and Morris are all now in the Miami County Jail, awaiting court appearances in the case.
