The Dora Hotel Company will build a 123-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel and conference center in downtown Kokomo. And the Kokomo Automotive Museum will be re-located to the basement of the conference center.
Details of the development were announced yesterday. Mayor Greg Goodnight said the 26-million dollar facility will have a tremendous impact on Kokomo and will draw thousands of visitors to the city.
The conference center will have more than 22-thousand square feet of space for various events.
Construction should begin soon and the hotel and conference center could open sometime in 2020.
