With just over a week to go until the filing deadline, candidates for School Board seats among Grant County school systems has seen a bevy of activity in the past couple of days.
For the Marion School Board, several of those who unsuccessfully sought recent vacancies on the board have now filed to run in the November election. They include Nick McKinley, Alan Beck, Dick Hart and Bruce Weatherspoon, who are all seeking one of the District One seats, one of which is now held by the recently-appointed Dana Gault…who is also seeking a full term in November.
Steve Fagan has filed for a seat on the Oak Hill School Board in District 4.
And for the Eastbrook School Board, Roger Richards has filed for re-election.
Candidates have until next Friday at noon to file for seats on their respective school boards.
