A former nursing assistant at the Marion V-A hospital was sentenced to 16-years in prison yesterday for allegedly performing a sex act on a patient.
Scott Morris was convicted of Criminal Deviate Conduct for allegedly performing a sex act on a mentally disabled patient at the V-A while he was working as a nursing assistant.
Judge Jeffrey Todd cited the helplessness of the patient and his age in sentencing Morris to prison, where he will also have to undergo treatment as a sex offender.
