According to State Senator Andy Zay, several communities in and around Indiana Senate District 17 will receive more than $3 million for local road and bridge upgrades.
Among them, is Converse, which has been awarded 120-thousand dollars. LaFontaine has received over 50-thousand dollars. Huntington has been awarded over 840-thousand dollars, and North Manchester has received over 627-thousand dollars.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, 189 Indiana cities, towns and counties recently received a combined $115 million in state-matching funds for local road projects through the Next Level Roads: Community Crossings Initiative.
