Grant County health: poor 4/8/19 6am
The recently released Indiana County Health Rankings reveal some disturbing numbers for Grant County.
In overall health outcomes, a measurement of the length and quality of life, Grant County is 90th among the state’s 92 counties.
At a panel on public health held last Thursday at Indiana Wesleyan University, Grant County Health Officer Dr. David Moore said his primary focus will be in the area of child poverty.
Family physician and IWU professor Dr. Phillip Renfroe noted that people misunderstand the concept of health, saying that it is not simply the absence of disease.
