The latest U.S. Census of Agriculture puts Indiana in the top 10 in the nation for total ag products sold.
The recently-released report also noted that, in 2017, the average size farm in the state was 264 acres, and that Indiana had just under 57,000 farms statewide.
Of Indiana’s top five agricultural products sold in 2017, grains and related products totaled 6.7 billion dollars, with poultry, hogs, milk and cattle in order from 2 through 5.
