Researchers at the Center for Business and Economic Research at Ball State University have updated the Community Asset Inventory and Rankings to assess the quality of life and economic conditions within each Indiana county.

Grant County went from a D rank in ‘Health’ to the rank of F, but gained slightly in the categories of ‘Education’ and ‘Economy.’

Howard County’s biggest drop was from the rank of B- to a D in ‘Education’ and it dropped from a C- to a D in ‘Health,’ but improved from an F to a C in ‘Economy.’

Two of the top counties are Hamilton and Hendricks and two of the worst are Blackford and Crawford counties.
