MPD: Jeep, home damaged amid barrage of gunfire

Yesterday at around 7:45 a.m. Marion Police Department officers responded to the 2300 block of South Adams St. for multiple shots fired.

Upon arriving at the scene, a male was seen running from the area.

The male wore a white shirt and had a red hat. Police were unable to locate the subject.

At the scene, officers found 32 spent 9 mm shell casings in the 100 block of E. 24th St.

An unoccupied 2006 Jeep was struck multiple times, shattering windows.

Bullet holes were also discovered to the residence of 2318 S. Adams St.

Upon obtaining a search warrant and conducting an investigation inside the home, various items of a crime were collected, according to MPD Capt. Stephen Dorsey.
