An advanced all-day training session for Master Gardeners is open to the public and taking place this Saturday.
The event features vendors, speakers and tours of the Matter Park Gardens.
The event costs $40 and registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Event schedule:
Session 1 – The Medicine Woman: Lori Matthews 9-9:45 a.m.
Session 2 – Stretching Bloom Season & Fall Flowers: Julia Glessner 10-10:45 a.m.
Lunch 11 a.m. -1 p.m. with breakout sessions.
Breakout 1 – Foraging for Edibles: Lori Matthews 11:30 a.m.
Breakout 2 – Butterfly Garden: Monarch Mamas 12:15 p.m.
Matter Park Garden, Demo Garden and Children’s Garden tours will also be available during the lunch break.
Session 3 – Monarch Butterflies: Monarch Mamas 1-1:45 p.m.
Session 4 – Pollinators: David & Nan Roe 2-2:45 p.m.
Wrap up session 3-3:30 p.m.
