A week-long closure southwest of downtown Indianapolis has begun.
All lanes of I-70, between the south split and I-465 on the west side will stay closed until 6 a.m. Aug. 5.
That’s if they finish construction on time, says Indiana Department of Transportation. The roadways are being re-paved, and winter damage is being repaired on the interstate.
If you need to get to the airport, it’s recommended that you take I-70 east to I-465 south, then take I-65 north to downtown.
