Two men allegedly ran huge spice dealing operation in Lafayette

Two men are accused of running a massive spice dealing operation in Greater Lafayette.

A confidential informant worked with police for six months to let the police know when Ronald Kirkman received shipments of damiana leaf and chemicals that would turn the leaves into spice.

In May 2018, police found 800 pounds of the leaves in Trevor Calloway’s storage unit. WLFI said prosecutors filed charges against the two on Wednesday.

Calloway and Kirkman are facing several drug dealing and possession charges. Kirkman is also facing a neglect charge for taking his 13-year-old daughter to at least one rendezvous related to the operation.
