Deadly explosion at Russian test site leaves five scientists dead

More information is slowly becoming available about a deadly Russian rocket engine explosion that appears to have had a miniaturized source of nuclear energy.

Nuclear experts are saying last week’s blast appears to have been the result of the failure of an experimental nuclear-powered cruise missile.

NATO refers to that missile as Skyfall and was linked to a spike in radiation throughout the surrounding area 20 times normal levels.

Five scientists were killed in the explosion.
