Court case e-filing now available in all 92 counties

Electronic filing in court cases is now available in all trial courts across the state’s 92 counties and all three appellate courts. A celebration to mark the occasion will take place in Sullivan County.

Statewide E-filing Celebration

Wednesday, September 4
12:00 p.m. (EDT)
Sullivan County Courthouse
100 Courthouse Square

Sullivan, Indiana 47882

Over a half-million documents are e-filed in the state each month. Hamilton County was the first to implement the statewide e-filing system in July 2015. Sullivan County joined in August—making every Indiana county part of e-filing.

On September 4, court leaders including Chief Justice Loretta Rush, Justice Steven David, Judge Paul Mathias, and local dignitaries will gather at the Sullivan County Courthouse to celebrate the statewide milestone with colleagues, staff, and attorneys. Those who wish to attend the event should contact Kathryn Dolan.

E-filing is one part of the Court’s comprehensive plan to bring efficiencies to courts across the state through technology. Supreme Court staff provide training and support to judges, clerks, staff, and attorneys who use the system. One free state-offered provider and ten commercial providers are currently available. As of June 30, 2019, nearly 17 million documents have been e-filed. More information can be found at courts.in.gov/efile.
