Pendleton and Anderson could soon be connected by a four-lane highway.
Design work will begin soon to develop the highway from Anderson to Pendleton with trails on both sides of the road.
The design work is to extend 67th Street from Layton Road to Indiana 38.
The original plan was to extend 73rd Street to Pendleton, but that would limit potential growth in the area.
The 67th route will open more acreage for potential development on both sides of the expansion.
