The Grant County commissioners today gave approval for Robert Jackson to take over as Grant County’s Emergency Management Agency director on Nov. 1.
Jackson is set to replace Bruce Bender.
“He’s well known around the county (and) very well respected,” Bender said of Jackson.
According to Bender, Jackson has decades of experience as a firefighter.
“I’m excited and looking forward to the future,” Jackson said of his new appointment.
The next Grant County commissioner’s meeting is Oct. 7.
