Group after-school art program for K-6 students begins in November at Taylor University

Taylor University’s Art Department is offering group art lessons for local students in grades K-6. Taylor Art Education and Pre-Art Therapy majors will teach weekly classes.

This year Taylor is offering another opportunity for children to develop and enrich their artistic talents.

The After School Art program is open to elementary students grades K-6. Taylor University Art Education and Pre-Art Therapy majors will teach the lessons with the supervision of Professor Kathy Herrmann. Each teacher will determine the topics and media covered.

The program runs four consecutive Fridays, from Nov. 1 – 22, 4-5:00 p.m. An art exhibit of students work will take place on Monday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. The cost is $10.00 per student for all four lessons. Both the lessons and exhibit take place in Modelle Visual Arts Center.

To register and/or for additional information, please contact: Kathy Herrmann (ktherrmann@tayloru.edu), or Cindy Reishus (cindy_reishus@taylor.edu).
