Genesis Place, located at 108 E. 14th St., has gifted its two buildings and some land to Hope House Ministries as a recovery home.
Hope House will take over starting March 1, 2020, and will provide housing to women in need.
According to Hope House Executive Director Shane Beal, the buildings have the capacity to house up to 30 women. His initial goal, however, is to set with ten women.
Genesis Place was primarily a place to house veterans, but that need has diminished over time in Marion.
Now, the home is working to re-home the individuals who live there in comfortable housing.
