At some point, you’ve probably lost a $20 bill. But have you ever misplaced $7,000?
That’s how much a worker at a Plato’s Closet in Valparaiso found in a coat pocket, reports ABC 7 in Chicago.
Instead of keeping the cash, Jennifer Kimes told her boss. They found the coat’s owner and gave the money back.
The owner said he hid the money but forgot he’d put it in that pocket. Kimes didn’t get a reward for returning the cash, but told ABC 7, “it feels good to do the right thing.”
