‘Concerts in the Park’ season paused due to COVID-19

The Concerts in the Park 2020 season has been paused due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

According to State Farm Agent Dennis Roach, who plays a key role in organizing the concerts, three major fund-raising events have been canceled.

“Our sponsorship goals have not been achievable due to our inability to conduct the campaign,” Roach said. “Layered into that mix a major tornado and the pandemic in Nashville, that has all but stopped dialogue with potential artists for this season. As a result of these issues, we have made the very difficult decision to PAUSE our regular season of Concerts in the Park for 2020.”

There is one concert still planned. That will take place July 28 with rock band 7eventh Time Down thanks to a partnership with United Way of Grant County/Rock the Way and Riverside Community Federal Credit Union.

“This has been a long and difficult road to get to this point,” Roach said. “(It’s) very disappointing.”
