Oak Hill teacher tests positive for COVID-19

The Oak Hill United School Corporation has stated that one of its teachers tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The teacher first began experiencing symptoms on March 20 and was last in an Oak Hill building on March 13.  The teacher also drove through the food distribution process on March 18, but did not leave the vehicle.

Due to confidentiality and privacy guidelines, the teacher will not be named.

The Grant County Health Department has informed the school they are working with the teacher and their family and (based on state criteria) will be directly contacting anyone deemed to be a close contact concern. This doesn’t include any Oak Hill students or staff members due to the teacher’s COVID-19 infection timeline.

Grant County has 12 positive cases as of Friday morning. It’s also been reported that a Cafe Valley maintenance employee has also tested positive.
