Seybold to Have Challengers in G-O-P Treasurer's Race
It appears that Marion Mayor Wayne Seybold will have one and maybe two challengers as he seeks the State Treasurer’s office next year.
The “Chronicle-Tribune” reports that current State Treasurer’s Office Trust-Indiana Program Director Kelly Mitchell has officially notified Republican leaders that she will seek the Treasurer’s nomination next summer at the G-O-P Convention.
And Richmond businessman Don Bates says he’s in the process of notifying Republican leaders that he intends to seek the State Treasurer’s office.
Seybold announced his candidacy for the Treasurer’s office earlier this year, and until this week had been the only announced candidate.
Seybold, Mitchell and Bates are all scheduled to appear at the Miami County Republican Fall Dinner Saturday night in Peru.
