RedCup Country is a five-hour weekly show designed to reflect the energy and vibe of the weekend lifestyle of today’s country music audience. The program is primarily intended to be broadcast on Friday or Saturday nights, and is full of a variety of fun features including “RedCup Karaoke” where country artists and listeners alike can request their favorite party songs. And every hour of RedCup Country features Mashville Mini-Mixes, a 10 minute club-style blend of hot country songs to fill up the dance floor produced by the collaboration of X-MIX producer “DJ Skillz” and former Hot Mix Radio operations manager “TJ the DJ” Hess.
The program is hosted by radio personality Sean “Coop” Tabler. Raised in Virginia, Coop was addicted to artists like Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn and George Strait, and to this day he never misses a country concert when one is in his current home town of Detroit. Coop was heard at nights on the legendary WYCD in that city, where he landed after working in radio in a numbers of cities across America including Boston, Greensboro, Seattle, Pittsburgh and Washington. He started his radio career by bugging the promotions department for a job at his hometown radio station, 97-3 The Eagle in Virginia Beach, and at the age of 15, the morning show brought him on as an intern. Coop fell in love with broadcasting and he’s been at it ever since. A good time for Coop usually involves loud country music, possibly a bonfire and yes, a red Solo cup.
