The longtime Director of the Marion Parks Department has been terminated because her position was eliminated at the end of December due to budget cuts by the city.
Belinda Hussong had been head of the Marion Parks Department for 21-years. Mayor Jess Alumbaugh said Hussong did nothing wrong, it’s just the city had to make cuts.
According to the “Chronicle-Tribune”, Hussong said she was shocked by the move, but knew the city had to save money somehow.
