If you smoke, you could be paying more for your cigarettes soon…if the American Cancer Society and Tobacco-Free Indiana get the General Assembly to pass a one-dollar and 50-cent raise on the state cigarette tax.
Though state lawmakers are not considering a budget this year, Chairman Bryan Hennon of Tobacco-Free Indiana says he hopes legislators will consider the tax increase anyway.
