Indiana Homeless Count To Be Taken Wednesday

Indiana takes its yearly count of the homeless on Wednesday. Federal law requires states to take an annual snapshot of how many people are in shelters or on the streets. The count will determine how much federal grant money Indiana receives.

Indiana’s homeless numbers have declined for five straight years, representing an overall decrease of 13-percent. However, there were still more than 54-hundred Hoosiers last year without a place to live.
