The Mounds Mall in Anderson will close for good next month. The mall had been in operation in Anderson for 53-years.
Owners say Mounds Mall will close April 1st. A Theater and an Eye Care store will remain open because they have separate outside entrances.
A Mall spokesperson said Mounds Mall hasn’t been profitable for several years. On January 31st, Carson’s announced it was closing its Anderson location.
The owners of Mounds Mall say they’ll be looking to repurpose the mall into something else.
