The efforts of a six-year old Kokomo boy to raise money for a fallen Boone County Sheriff’s deputy resulted in nearly seven-thousand dollars being collected on Friday.
Malachi Fronczak sold lemonade and hot chocolate for several hours Friday. Between sales of the drinks and donations from customers, he raised nearly seven-thousand dollars that will be donated to the family of Deputy Jacob Pickett of Boone County.
Malachi’s Magnificent Lemonade helped raise money for a fallen Southport officer last year.
The boy says he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
