The City of Marion has a new firefighter on duty. Brennan Simmons was officially sworn in Monday in front of the City Board of Works.
Chief Geoff Williams says Simmons has completed all phases of his preliminary training and is ready to be a full-time firefighter.
Simmons fills a vacancy brought on by a recent retirement in the Fire Department.
