Indiana-based Vectren and Houston-based CenterPoint Energy have announced they will merge.
The combined company will be named CenterPoint Energy. Its corporate offices will be in Houston, but the company’s natural gas utilities operation and Indiana electric operation will have Evansville as its’ headquarters.
The merger of Vectren and CenterPoint is expected to be finalized in early 2019, once it receives all regulatory approvals.
