A Marion woman was detained by police early Tuesday after she allegedly tried to leave her young twin boys at Marion General Hospital.
Police say the woman tried to leave the four-year old twins at the hospital. When a hospital worker tried to intervene, the women became upset and police officers were called. They detained the woman for apparent mental problems.
The twins were not harmed and were turned over to the custody of their father.
The mother is now receiving treatment.
