Marion Police are investigating shots being fired at the owner of a local bar that has seen three incidents of violence in the past two weeks.
Monday evening, Todd Hopson…the owner of Hops Blues Room on South McClure Street…reported that two men entered the bar while he was inside and fired two shots at him. Hopson fled and was not injured. But the two men reportedly stole his sports car and fled as well.
Hopson said he was cleaning up trash from the bar, which has been closed since a fire heavily damaged the building on June 17th…less than 24-hours after someone shot and killed Roger Randolph outside of the bar. Police believe all three incidents are connected.
Police are now searching for the two suspects in Monday night’s incident, as well as Hopson’s 2009 Jaguar sports car.
