Deadline Extended For Seybold To Turn Over Documents

The former project manager for the renovation of the old Grant County Y-M-C-A building has been given an additional three months to review documents pertinent to the suit against him and others by the city of Marion and then turn them over for inspection.

Chad Seybold has been given a deadline of early December to review thousands of documents regarding the renovation of the old Y building, which was started in 2010 but then stopped and never finished.  The “Chronicle-Tribune” reports once Seybold and his attorney have reviewed the documents, they have been ordered to turn them over to court officials to be used as evidence in the city’s lawsuit again Seybold and the estate of the late developer Michael An.

The city financed the project through bonds that were sold using Tax Increment Financing revenue and city officials want the money back since the project was never finished.
