Police in Greentown are investigating after a dog was found dead in a creek and they believe it was thrown off a bridge.
Witnesses say they heard a strange screeching sound from the Jerome Bridge last Tuesday. When they checked it out, they found a dead German shepherd in the creek below.
Town Marshal James Skinner says he’s never worked a case of this nature of animal cruelty.
