As part of a statewide tour, the National Commander of the American Legion will make a stop in Fairmount this afternoon.
National Commander Brett Reistad will be at American Legion Post 313 on Highway 26 East in Fairmount this afternoon to meet with local leaders and American Legion members.
Besides National Commander Reistad, National Legion Auxiliary President Kathy Dungan will also be on hand today in Fairmount, along with Indiana State American Commander Rodney Strong and various other national and state officers.
Their visit will take place from 2 until 3:30 this afternoon at the Fairmount Legion Post. The event is open to the public.
