There’s a new scam that’s targeting Duke Energy customers.
Several police agencies say scammers are pretending to work for Duke Energy, trying to get customers to pay money for overdue bills over the phone…even if the customers bills aren’t overdue.
Police say the callers also try to get personal information over the phone.
Duke Energy officials say the calls are fake.
