A investigation has begun in Muncie about how an eight-year-old girl got a black eye. Branden Bratton has been arrested for battery and neglect according to the Muncie Star Press. Child Protective Services were called by administrators at the girl’s elementary school on March 12. The girl told police she had been hit by Bratton, who is a friend of her mother’s. She said Bratton came into her room, smacked her in the face, backside and shook her. Bratton told police he did spank the girl because he was aggravated with the disobedient child, but said he didn’t know her eye was injured but did fix her glasses during the encounter. Police say the girl has health issues.
