The American Red Cross is urging eligible blood donors of all blood types to give blood this spring to help ensure a sufficient supply for hospital patients.
In Indiana alone the Red Cross needs more than 450 donors each day to support patients at 80 hospitals across the state.
The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive in Fairmount from 2 to 7pm at the Fairmount United Methodist Church on South Walnut Street.
