The Indiana State Police are investigating a police action shooting today in east central Indiana which resulted in the death of an unidentified man.
As reported by state police, a man walking along I-70 in Henry County was approached by a sheriff’s deputy to see if he needed assistance. The man then allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the deputy. Shots were fired, the suspect was hit and he later died at Henry County Community Health Hospital in New Castle.
The name of the suspect and the deputy, who as unhurt in the incident, have not yet been released.
