Japan summit at Purdue Fort Wayne

A Japan-Northeast Indiana Summit is set for Friday morning on the campus of Purdue Fort Wayne.

Those in attendance are expected to learn more about international tariffs, skills training and workforce recruitment from industry experts representing Japan. 

According to the consulate general of Japan in Chicago, more than 320 Japanese-owned businesses operate in Indiana.  In northeast Indiana alone, Japanese companies have 24 location in 10 counties that employ more than 67,000 people.

The summit will run from 8am until 2pm tomorrow in the international ballroom of the student union at Purdue Fort Wayne.
