Police: Marion man drug inside apartment, beaten

Marion Police Department officers are searching for suspects in connections with a violent robbery.

At around 2:20 p.m. on June 24, 21-year-old victim Terrell D. Dean reported that he received a call from his baby’s mother to check on his child.

Dean reported that upon arrival to the location, 2000 block of W. Kem Road, he was drug inside the apartment and beaten by three males with handguns, according to an MPD press release.

The victim was able to get free from the suspects and ran from the apartment complex.

Dean sustained various cuts and bruises to his head.

He reported that the suspects took an undetermined about of currency and his cell phone.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the apartment in which the battery and robbery took place. Upon executing the search warrant no individuals were located in the apartment.

This investigation is in the early stages.
