Indiana police begin crack down on motorists who ignore ‘move-over’ law

If you don’t move over, you will get pulled over.

Fail to change lanes or slow down for a stopped emergency vehicle this week and you can expect to get a ticket from Indiana State Police.

It’s part of a week-long mission by police in Indiana and five other states to catch people who fail to follow the “move-over law,” which requires you to change lanes or slow down to 10 mph below the posted speed limit when emergency vehicles are stopped on the side of the road.
