A man accidentally released from the Vigo County Jail is still missing.
Gregg Shepherd, 48, was let out of jail Sept. 5 after a jail officer made a mistake on his paperwork.
He hasn’t been seen since. Shepherd was in jail on charges of confinement, battery and theft.
WTHI TV reports he won’t face any additional charges for leaving jail, but Sheriff John Plasse says anyone who helps Shepherd hide from police could be charged with aiding a fugitive.
