A Fairmount man received a 40-year prison sentence this week for child molestation charges, according to court records.
Seventy-four-year-old James E. Ley pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and two counts of child molesting.
Due to his plea agreement, one count of child molesting, two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and three counts of vicarious sexual gratification were dismissed.
He’s been credited with 463 days served while awaiting sentencing.
According to the Chronicle-Tribune, Ley committed sexual acts with two teenagers, who ended up coming forward to the police.
The Tribune reports that detectives also found a VHS tape where Ley was inappropriately interacting with one of the victims.
