More lawsuits filed against Purdue over Camp DASH study

Purdue University is being sued again for a 2017 summer camp that went horribly wrong.

Two new lawsuits were filed this week, regarding the incidents that took place at Camp DASH, a study that monitored children’s diets and its effects on hypertension.

The students, ages 11 to 15, were put in campus housing in July 2017. WLFI says the lawsuits discuss numerous reports of sexual misconduct and physical violence that occurred among campers.

One parent says there was a lack of staff members and adult supervision. When Purdue first learned of the incidents, they shut down the camp, a week after the first report.
