A dog that’s been at the Marion-Grant County Humane Society for the past six years has finally found a forever home.
Meet Sandi. A 12-year-old boxer-pit mix who has spent the last 2,400 days at the shelter.
“It’s pretty amazing,” said Christy Bernardin of the Humane Society on the adoption. “She deserves it.”
Out of all the shelter’s current dogs Sandi has been there the longest.
According to Bernardin, Sandi is going to the home of one of the organization’s long-time supporters.
The Humane Society will be pulling out the red carpet for the adoption with plenty of dog treats and a celebration for Sandi’s special day.
